“Varavu takes place in a world where forensic science hasn't been invented yet. A story that goes nowhere: it opens badly, shows some promise in the middle, then disappoints all over again. All the usual Joju George trimmings are present — luxury cars, chases, stunts nobody asked for. That time would have been better spent on the story and the characters. It makes a mockery of the police and of forensics.”
